Healing Divisions: Embracing Our Common Humanity
At a time when violent extremism is on the rise and messages of polarization dominate political rhetoric and the streets, we turn to those who have found the courage to reshape their identities, move beyond the process of “othering” and find healing, hope and inspiration by embracing our common humanity. Through sharing their lived experience our speakers will shed light on the root causes of bigotry and violent extremism, the challenges and ambivalences on the road to healing divisions and the steps you can take within yourself and your communities to bridge the divides of “otherness.”
