Susan Le
Susan is a 26 year old organizer, activist, and artist from Lowell, MA with a little over a decade's experience of making systematic change. She is an experienced facilitator leading various campaigns including; Vote 17 to lower the voting age to 17 for Lowell's municipal elections, civics education, and juvenile expungement in Massachusetts. She’s consulted groups nationally to help lower the voting age, one in which San Francisco successfully lowered the voting age to allow 16 year olds to vote municipally. Susan is currently the Program Manager of Teens Leading the Way (TLTW), a statewide youth-led policy making coalition that she was a member of as a youth organizer. TLTW is also partnered with the Gun Violence Prevention coalition and UTEC’s Center for Excellence. UTEC is a nationally recognized youth agency. Her goal is to bring the people to the power and equip young citizens with civic knowledge to become great organizers within their communities. Outside of her advocacy work, she is an athlete who currently competes and plays flag football and is a freelance painter. |
