Daud Mumin
Daud is a first-generation Somali-Muslim American, from Salt Lake City, Utah, who has witnessed gun violence ruin the lives of many. As the Equity and Inclusion chair for the March For Our Lives’ Student Congress and community organizer, Daud strives to build an intersectional and equitable movement on the issue of gun violence affecting the lives of nearly 40,000 Americans annually. Daud, the son of two Somali refugees, was featured as one Elite Daily’s five Gen Z activist who are “The next wave of Black History” to highlight his motivation to give power back to the most marginalized and oppressed communities. |
